Stair towers and site stairs for Waldfeucht

A way up that everyone on the site can use: handrails, solid landings and steps of equal height. We plan the tower, put it up and take it away again.

Based in Linnich, at work in Waldfeucht and across the Heinsberg district.

Why a tower

A ladder costs you time on every trip

Nobody on a building site goes up only once. A stair tower turns each of those trips into an ordinary walk.

Both hands free

Tools, buckets and material travel up with the person instead of being passed up piece by piece. Every trip saves more than the tower takes in floor space.

Visitors can use it too

Clients, architects, inspectors and residents go up a staircase with a handrail, not a ladder lashed to the scaffold.

One route for every trade

A single tower serves every lift of the scaffold. Each trade uses the same way up, and the traffic stays out of the working bays.

Gone again quickly

The tower is hire equipment. Once the site is finished we dismantle it and take it with us. Nothing is left standing on the plot.

Types

Four ways up

The right type is decided on site: how high it has to go, how much room there is in front of the building, and who will be using it.

01

Stair tower system

The free standing tower with its own base, a landing at every level and a continuous handrail. It stands beside the building and ties into the scaffold or the floor slabs.

02

Stairs inside the facade scaffold

The flight sits inside one bay of the facade scaffold. That is the space saving answer where there is little room in front of the building, on a narrow street for instance.

03

Escape stairs

A second, secured way down for as long as the permanent staircase in the building cannot be used or has yet to be built.

04

A hoist instead of muscle

For heavy material we hire out hoists, with and without passenger carriage, along with telehandlers and the truck with a loading crane. That keeps the tower free for people.

Stair tower systems, escape stairs and hoist hire are all listed in our own schedule of services.

Fittings

What is on a tower we build

A way up only counts as one when somebody who did not build it will use it. So we plan these fittings in from the start.

A flight with a landing and handrails on the facade.

  • Handrails on both sides A handrail and a knee rail along the full length of every flight.
  • A landing at every level A level exit onto each scaffold lift, with no step in the transition.
  • Steps of equal size Every step to the same dimension, so the tread stays predictable.
  • Slip resistant surface Open mesh or profiled sheet that lets rain and site dirt fall through.
  • Toe boards All the way round, so nothing rolls off the edge of a landing.
  • A secured first step The bottom of the flight is anchored and can be secured against unauthorised access.

Enquiry

Tell us three things

How high the way up has to reach, when you need it, and exactly where the site is. We need nothing more for a firm quotation. Everything else we settle on the phone or on site.

  • The height, or the number of storeys
  • The period you want, from erection to dismantling
  • The address and the access in Waldfeucht

Enquiry about your stair tower

How it runs

From the enquiry to the dismantling

Four steps, and the same company at every one of them.

  1. 01

    Enquiry

You describe the height, the period and the location. We tell you which type of tower fits.

  2. 02

    Measuring up

We look at the standing area, the ground and the access. The quotation follows from that.

  3. 03

    Erection

Our team puts the tower up, anchors it and hands it over ready to use. Changes in the build programme we take in our stride.

  4. 04

    Dismantling

On the agreed date we take it down and clear the area. The material goes back to Linnich.

Waldfeucht and the places around it
